Day 258: Daniel 7-9

Today on Meditating the Word, Daniel's dream of four beasts, the interpretation of the dream, Daniel's vision of a ram and a goat, the interpretation of the vision, Daniel's prayer and the seventy sevens.

This is Day 258. Today we are reading Daniel 7-9.

Father God, the prophecies against Your people are hard to read. But, the Children of Israel were under the law, not under grace. And even though You showed them favor, and you sent prophets to warn them so they could turn from their ways, they didn't return to You. I cannot even imagine the sorrow You must have felt when judgment was poured out on Your people so that reconciliation could be made. We are so grateful for Your love and mercy. We are so grateful that Jesus paid the ultimate price bringing us back into right standing with You. And we are so grateful that we live under grace. May we continue to seek You with prayer and fasting, knowing that at the beginning of our petitions, Your commandment goes out, sending forth the angels, messengers of light, to accomplish Your Word in our lives. Thank You, Father. Amen
