Ep. 1055: Arctic Sailing the Northwest Passage - Graeme Esarey

Sailing: Graeme Esarey on Northwest Passage Family Expedition, Observing Arctic Trash and Unsustainable Practices, Founding Ignik Outdoors for Sustainable Gear, and Returning to the Changing Arctic by Sailboat. Graeme Esarey is a sailor, climber, skier, and father of 2 adventurous girls. During an attempt to sail through the Northwest Passage with his family, he noticed the amount of trash heaps and unsustainable heating practices at whaling communities. Having a background in product development, he decided to found Ignik Outdoors, a company dedicated to replacing disposable products like green propane bottles with more sustainable solutions. He is headed back to the Arctic this summer on his expedition sailboat for another look at how the region is changing.
