Bob's coaching began with an issue of Runner's World showing him that coaching was more than 'run a few miles on the trails each day.' A drive through Las Vegas, New Mexico introduced him to New Mexico Highlands and a training run with a partner in Chucks (the Converse shoe) led him to a career of fulfilment.
