Steve Buscemi Joins "Wednesday" Season 2 Cast

In a thrilling update for fans of Netflix’s hit series "Wednesday," Steve Buscemi has been confirmed to join the cast of the show’s eagerly anticipated second season. According to exclusive information obtained by Variety, the celebrated actor will take on the role of the new principal of Nevermore Academy, though further details about his character remain shrouded in secrecy.

Buscemi, renowned for his versatile performances across both dramatic and comedic roles, adds significant star power to the already popular series. His rich career portfolio includes memorable roles in films such as "Reservoir Dogs," "Fargo," and "The Death of Stalin," as well as his acclaimed work on television shows like "Boardwalk Empire" and "The Sopranos." His addition is expected to bring a new dynamic to the quirky and dark universe of "Wednesday."

"Wednesday," which debuted in November 2022, follows Jenna Ortega in her role as the enigmatic Wednesday Addams as she navigates the complexities of teenage life at Nevermore Academy. The first season saw her tackling a series of grisly mysteries and sinister plots against her school, setting high expectations for the new season’s narrative arc.

Netflix representatives, as well as those from Buscemi’s camp, have declined to comment on this casting development. The production of Season 2 faced delays due to industry-wide strikes last year but is slated to commence later this month in Ireland.
