Welcome to the Quick Stop F1 Podcast! Tasha is joined by Martz of Pitstop Fracas, for a debrief of the Sprint Race and Quali, during the Miami GP weekend! Although there would be less time to test the cars before the Sprint, a couple of teams still brought updated packages for this weekend, McLaren being one of them. They introduced a completely overhauled car, described as a B-spec, and they saw a significant improvement in their top speed. Mercedes’ upgrade, which was less ambitious, failed to improve any area of the car, and the team is still scratching their heads on how they will finally introduce performance in the W15. Mercedes weren’t alone in their struggles, as the track proved to be a bit tricky to navigate, with high temperatures and almost no grip in certain sectors, the results may look the same as usual, but how we got them wasn’t nearly as straightforward as we expected.
