Since 1910, when they first established their winery in Correggio township (Reggio Emilia province, in the region of Emilia-Romagna), they have never followed the trends or fashions that have driven Lambrusco production in this century and the last. They make their Lambrusco — including their classic method Lambrusco, produced using traditional hand-riddling — the same way they always have: The traditional “dry” style of Lambrusco, with a focus on freshness, brilliant fruit flavors, and food-friendliness. They ascribe their success to their vision of what Lambrusco is and should be. And it’s thanks to their patience and precision that they have been able to create such iconic wines from their appellation. Ep. 431 Stevie and Scienza call Monty ENGLISH

Ep. 431 Stevie and Scienza call Monty ENGLISH

Italian Wine Podcast Episode 431: Stevie Kim and Professor Attilio Scienza call Monty Waldin at home in Montalcino. THIS IS THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE, DUBBED VERSION OF THE PODCAST. FIND THE ORIGINAL ITALIAN RECORDING IN EPISODE 430 RELEASED NOVEMBER 3, 2020. Worlds are colliding. We at the Italian Wine Podcast have long dreamed of finally connecting all three of these personalities to form an Italian wine supergroup, so to speak. This is the Italian wine equivalent of Led Zeppelin, Wu Tang Clan, and Gogol Bordello coming together to play a sold-out San Siro Stadium. The call was completely unscripted and it started off with the usual banter as Stevie and Attilio disturbed Monty from what we can only imagine was a morning spent tending the biodynamic garden out back. Eventually, Stevie was called away on a secret side mission, leaving Monty to quiz the Professor regarding the 2020 grape harvest all up and down the Italian peninsula. Enjoy this experimental episode that, in essence, turned into a 2020 harvest report. For the English language recording Margherita Andrenacci played the voice of Stevie Kim, Rebecca Lawrence played the voice of Professor Attilio Scienza, and Jacopo Fanciulli played the voice of Monty Waldin. ENJOY!!!
