About today’s guest host: Valeria Tenison, a sommelier, a wine blogger and a wine journalist from Saint Petersburg, Russia, is now based in Bordeaux, France. Valeria has been working in the hospitality industry for more than 10 years, steadily growing in the food and beverage department, reaching the Food & Beverage Manager position in Marriott hotels. Having completed the WSET Level 3 course and obtained an ASI Gold Certification, she participates in several professional competitions, which culminates in winning the Russian Female Sommelier Competition in August 2018. At the peak of her career, Valeria turns a new page and moves to Bordeaux to continue her wine education with a WSET DIploma course. After her studies of history and European Studies in Toulouse and Brussels, she completed her education with a master degree in wine business in Dijon, Burgundy, and a working experience in Bordeaux.
