More about today’s guests: Karen Jenkins started her career in wine after graduating with a degree in European Business Studies. She moved from Branch manager for the high street retailer WineRack to the buying and marketing team for the Threshers group in 1994. She gained extensive wine marketing and brand management experience during her 18 years with importer Richards Walford, one of the UK’s most respected, specialist importers working with their extensive portfolio of independent producers and exclusive agencies, and, later, as Marketing Manager for Fields Morris & Verdin. Karen made the move to freelance consultancy in 2016 specialising in marketing services and project management for wine producers and independent UK wine importers. She also offers producers specialist advice on wine information communication and management for the trade, based on her own model The Producer Toolkit. She never tires of the opportunity to explore new developments in wine world and new channels and approaches to the market. Elisabeth Else After many years experience as a Project Manager for enterprise-level ecommerce projects, Elisabeth Else decided to tackle a problem much closer to her passion: finding the right wine experience when you need it. Thus, Wine Cellar Door was born. It remains is the only complete guide to all of the visitor-friendly vineyards in England & Wales and includes key information to help you decide which ones to visit. From there led a second career in wine website development as the Founder of the3bottles, where she and her team implement state of the art solutions for wine producers. She spends her days now caring for clients, consulting on issues of business growth, and contracting to specialist wine retailers.
