Offering consulting, education, tastings, scouting, tours & events since 2007 for both the Dutch market and internationally. (My company was first called Profondo Reizen, I renamed it Divino Natura) A love for Italy since 1987, into Italian wines since 1994 and on a mission to discover all the grape varieties ever since! Lived in Rome, studied and lived in Florence and later on in Liguria, toured every main wine region in 2014-2016 , lived in Liguria till march 2019 and went back to the Netherlands. Organized the first Italian Natural wine fair in Utrecht in August 2019. From 2020 offering education (masterclasses etc specifically on Italian natural & orange wines.) January 2023 I had the privilege to host a masterclass on Aglianico delle Vulture from old vines at The Wine Professional fair in Amsterdam - invited by the owner Jan van Lissum. Reviving tradition: in recuperating old vines, rare/lost grape varieties, rebuilding the dry stone walls, using different types of wood (instead of oa- ) etc. The last years he is also dedicated to the social aspect – he has trained a migrant, Moestafa who works with him, he teaches children in the field about agriculture and wine, a recent project is the ‘Sciacchetra migrante’, where they are recuperating close to Riomaggiore e hectare of vineyard with migrants, mostly africains, teaching them all the work involved in the vineyard and my selling the Schiacchetra made from it looking to get them a place to work afterwards.
