Welcome to Episode 1849 in which host Giulia Stocchetti interviews Simone-Pasquale Pelissero this week on The Next Generation More about today’s winery “We have been farmers and winemakers in Neive for more than a century, where one of the best examples of Nebbiolo grows: Barbaresco. Today it is up to me and my son Simone, an enologist, to look after the vineyard and the wine cellar. From my courtyard you can hear the bells strike the hours in the bell tower of Neive. A few steps away there are the rows of our San Giuliano cru vines, a historic vineyard that brings together four generations of the Pelissero family. In the center of the rows there is a ‘ciabot’, a brick house, with the statue of Saint Giuliano that gives its name to the cru or, as we call it in Italy, ‘Menzioni Geografiche Aggiuntive‘ (MGA – the Additional Geographical Mentions).
