Is Elon Musk making an expensive mistake re Twitter?

Elon Musk has done the deal to buy Twitter. The announcement was made this week……Twitter’s board has agreed to sell the social media giant to the world’s richest man for 61 billion dollars. In a statement said “…free speech is the bedrock of a functioning democracy, and Twitter is the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated.”

We’re joined by David Swan, the Australian newspaper’s Technology Editor; and Axel Bruns,Professor in the Digital Media Research Centre at Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane

There are some big questions here. What will this do for public debate... will he let Trump back onto Twitter? And... whether he can make it more profitable and get a good return on this huge investment. Could it be his Murdoch Myspace moment?
