The Her Business of Sport podcast shines a light on female sport business administrators who are changing the rules of the industry by carving new pathways for women in the field.

Each episode interviews a women in the sports industry about their career journey, expereinces working in the field, and advice they give to future generations.

Episode 1 features Mariana Gutiérrez Bernardez, who is the director of Liga MX Femenil, Mexico's top-tier women's professional football leauge, and is supported by more than 10 years of experience developing women's football in Mexico.

In 2009, Mariana was co-founder of the largest football 7 vs 7 tournament for women in Mexico. Later in 2015, she joined the Mexican Federation of Football in the Amateur Football department, as coordinator of National Leagues, highlighting her leading role in
developing and coordinating the first national amateur women's league of the FMF U16 and U13. In 2016 she took on the management of the new professional women's football league "LIGA MX Femenil" in the LIGA MX / ASCENSO MX office, focusing her work on the development of professional women's football in Mexico.


Born in Mexico City, she has a degree in Textile Design from "Universidad Iberoamericana" and a master's degree in "image consulting" and "football business" as well as she reached her pro license degree, the highest coaching qualification in Mexico. She is a member of the Women's Football Committee of the FMF and LIGA MX / ASCENSO MX and member of the Advisory Board of "School of Sports Sciences" of the "Universidad Anahuac". Mariana is an avid women's sports advocate vocalizing her opinions and expertise within the matter on a global scale.
