Musical improv is seriously one of the most baffling things I've ever seen. Whether it's your favorite rapper freestyling or Wayne Brady pulling out a full on song from thin air, improvising lyrics, melodies, and harmonies takes some serious skill.

Or does it?

Today we’re talking to Kendan Lacy and Kyle Gossett of OKC Improv! In previous episodes, we’ve touched on basic improv stuff and played plenty of short form games similar to who’s line is it anyway. Today we’re taking what we have learned and expanding on it to performing musical improv. Can you come up with lyrics off the top of your head? Can you go with the flow and sing a full on duet that neither of you have heard before? Kendan and Kyle pull back the veil and reveal the secrets behind the magic.

Disclaimer: We had an issue with one of the mics that we didn’t catch until after the interview. So we apologize in advance for it not sounding the best it could have been. Argh. Technology is frustrating sometimes.
