Why You Should Be "Too Emotional"

Why You Should Be "Too Emotional"

Episode 222: Growing up, I was often told that I was overly sensitive, way too emotional and that I needed to calm down. I heard these statements mainly from male figures in my life. Maybe you can relate. How often were you told growing up that you need to just chill out and stop making such a big deal out of things? These phrases haunted me for years — thinking there must be something inherently wrong with me. I've done some incredible healing work around this and now realize that feeling your feelings is a really beautiful thing. Connecting into my emotions is what shapes my life — they are my guiding truth; my connection to my intuition. Learning how to connect to my heart's truth is my superpower; not something I wish to ever shove down and hide from.
