226: Sisters Taking On The Prevention of Suicide (STOPS) - Andrea Mustin

This week on The 1 Girl Revolution Podcast, we welcome Andrea Mustin, the visionary founder of Sisters Taking On the Prevention of Suicide, also known as STOPS.

Andrea's journey with STOPS began in the wake of a personal tragedy—her husband, Eric, died by suicide in 2013 after a long struggle with bipolar disorder, depression, and anxiety. The devastation of his passing left Andrea searching for answers and a way to help other survivors and those struggling with their mental health, she channeled her grief into action, founding STOPS to raise awareness, provide resources and support, and help prevent suicide in communities across the country.

In this deeply powerful and inspiring episode, Andrea shares her story, the story of how she lost Eric, and how she turned her grief into glory - and is helping others find hope, resources, and support. We discuss the importance of mental health awareness, the power of community, and the vital role that organizations like STOPS play in preventing suicide.
