Season 9: Episode 08: Calum Franklin

I am overjoyed to have Calum Franklin on this podcast this week! For those not in the food world, you may not know him by name but you may have been lucky to have tried his food – particularly, his pies!! Coined as the King of Pies by Jamie Oliver, Calum is the ex-executive chef of Holborn Dining Rooms at the Rosewood Hotel in London, as well as the man who started up The Pie Room; an entire concept totally dedicated to pie making; hot, steaming, delicious pockets of meat and veg and pastry.

He has since left The Pie Room and is out in the big wide world planning some exciting new projects, coming soon.

We talk about his life growing up in South London, dealing with addiction and subsequently going to rehab, and why pies really do make the world go round!
