Danielson, Kasper, Mazur Chances, Swayman, and Central Division Preview - Oct. 2nd, 2024

Nate Danielson, Michael Brandsegg-Nygard, Marco Kasper, and Carter Mazur have shown well so far in the preseason...but can they crack the Detroit Red Wings roster?

Tune in as we update you on Hockeytown's exhibition games so far, as big squad players like Lucas Raymond, Dylan Larkin, and Patrick Kane have shown some flashes but the like of Danielson, Kasper, Lombardi, Mazur, Brandsegg-Nygard, & others are shining the most. We discuss what it would take for them to make the roster rather than go back down to the AHL's Grand Rapids Griffins, how this compares to the Simon Edvinsson situation, what Auston Watson's PTO might do, whether Jonatan Berggren is at risk & more (3:45). Also, thoughts on Ville Husso, Alex Lyon, and Cam Talbot, as well as updates on Chiasson and Finnie (28:30).

Next, the Jeremy Swayman saga in Boston, Cam Neely's "64 million reasons", and whether the Bruins goalie will go the way of Ullmark and be traded (and should Yzerman consider him?) (33:15).

After that, our Central Division preview with predictions and analysis on Connor Bedard's Chicago Blackhawks, Thomas' St. Louis Blues, Keller and the Utah Hockey Club, Kaprizov's Minnesota Wild, Hellebuyck's Winnipeg Jets, Nathan MacKinnon, Cale Makar & the Colorado Avalanche, Miro Heiskanen's Dallas Stars, and Steven Stamkos' Nashville Predators (47:50).

Finally, NHL news including the bloodbath preseason thanks to Arber Xhekaj, Brady Tkachuk, Greig, Stutzle, & the rest of the Canadian teams feuding (1:10:45) before we take your questions & comments in our Overtime segment (1:15:25) - enjoy!
