#183 - Breast Augmentation Nightmares: Complications, Risks and Dealing with the Consequences with Maiia Bates and Joelle Rose

This is Part 2 of my conversation about breast augmentation! As we all know, a lot of us consider or have considered getting breast augmentation surgery. We've spoken about it at length last week on things to consider, doing your research, pre and post-op care and more with the lovely Caitlyn Brooks. But I wouldn't be the podcaster that I am without at least discussing the ugly side of the coin: we're talking about how breast surgeries can go horribly wrong. I invite creators and cam models, Maiia Bates and Joelle Rose on the show this week to speak about their respective experiences with how their expectations went in the other direction. Maiia shares her story of losing her biggest tipping fan and the lessons learnt from it whereas Joelle (or Joey, as we call her) warns us of the complications that may arise from breast implant surgery and being that 1% that has impacted her negatively. Both stories have great takeaway and lessons learnt and some very eye-opening firsthand accounts that demonstrate the very real reality that might happen to us. This episode is not to scare us but merely, to warn folks and and to seriously understand the consequences that might arise post-op.
