Martin Bryant Pt1

Martin Bryant Pt1

In April of 1996, Martin Bryant perpetrated an unimaginable mass shooting in Port Arthur, Tasmania that shocked Australia and the world. Bryant's actions left 35 dead and many people wounded. It caused changes in Australia's gun laws, and left many pointing the finger at agencies they felt could have stopped Bryant at different points in time.

Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss Martin Bryant and the Port Arthur massacre. In this first of two episodes, we'll focus on Bryant's early life and his struggles with issues that made it difficult for him to cope with the world around him. Martin developed a relationship with a millionaire heiress named Helen Harvey that changed his life in a profound way. But, was that change for the good? And, did the deaths of two people close to him cause him to lose those who had helped keep him grounded?
