President Biden signed an executive order earlier today -- aimed at protecting access to abortion. This -- as he faces mounting pressure from fellow Democrats to be more forceful on the subject after the Supreme Court ended a constitutional right to the procedure two weeks ago. Meanwhile, Pat Cipollone, who served as White House counsel under former President Donald Trump, has reached an agreement to appear Friday before the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 assault on the Capitol. During a campaign speech Friday, Japan's former Prime Minister was shot and airlifted to a hospital. He later succumbed to his injuries. The community of Highland Park, IL continues to mourn after this weekend's Fourth of July shooting. Late Friday, it was announced that Elon Musk will be terminating his 44-billion-dollar bid to buy Twitter. The city of Highland Park, Illinois is in mourning after a shooting during their Fourth of July parade. The death toll rose to seven today, with more than 30 others injured. A state of emergency remains in effect following several days of protests in the wake of the fatal police shooting of 25-year-old Jayland Walker. The killing has sparked outrage after it was revealed that Walker was shot at least 60 times after fleeing a traffic stop. President Biden awarded the Medal of Honor, the Nation's highest honor for recognition of valor, to four men for their time on the Vietnam battlefield.
