The New Jersey Devils lost their first game in regulation to the Florida Panthers by a score of 4-3. Timo Meier and Nico Hischier once again both had disappointing outings, and it seems as though the Devils don't have good chemistry with one another. While they improved in period three, they once again got off to a very slow start. Dawson Mercer was tripped late in the game, yet the referees missed the call. That could've helped the Devils potentially tie the game.
