Despite Timo Meier scoring the opening goals against the Los Angeles Kings, the Devils allowed five unanswered goals in return. The goaltending and defense was atrocious once again, and the offense seemed timid to shoot. With limited games remaining, things aren't looking so good for New Jersey.
