Episode 499: Guy Macpherson, PhD. Honoring Who You Are

It's been quite some time since I sat down and did a solo episode. What with our moving from Oakland, CA to Bend, OR, and the craziness of everything going on like the pandemic and riots and all, there's been much swirling around in my head that I've wanted to share. Today I do that. Mostly, I wanted to say thank-you for being here, for listening, and supporting the podcast. I also wanted to encourage those of you who are starting out on your trauma-informed journey because you're what this podcast is about. --- Guy Macpherson, PhD, is a husband, a father of two, and holds a doctorate in clinical psychology. He has spent the last several years studying the impact and treatment of trauma, and early psychosis. In 2014, while working at a clinic in Northern California, assessing and treating young individuals with early psychosis, Guy founded The Trauma Therapist Project with the goals of raising the awareness of trauma and creating an educational and supportive community for new trauma workers. The Trauma Therapist Project has now grown to include The Trauma Therapist | Podcast, now being listened to in more than 160 countries around the world, as well as Trauma Therapist | 2.0, an online membership community specifically dedicated to educating and inspiring trauma workers just starting out on their trauma-informed journey. --- The Trauma Therapist Newsletter If you’re a trauma therapist and you’re interested in learning about trauma and keeping up to date about with, well, everything trauma-related, here we go!
