Hey Fam! On this episode of the show I am sitting down with the Passionate Pizza Pro of PA - the Pizza Influencer himself, Mr. Jim Mirabelli of NEPA Pizza Review! Jim is well known all over Northeastern PA and the entire East Coast for his passion for homemade pizza. He just loves serving up the local folklore of Mom & Pop shops and pizzerias in Northeastern PA. JIm’s mission of “Connecting People & Pizza” was the inspiration behind his passion project.

Born and raised in Clarks Summit, PA, Jim and I quickly dive into my favorite topic: PIZZA!!! For those of our listeners who may be unfamiliar with Northeastern PA’s unique emphasis on “Pizza Culture,” this corner of the world is speckled with hundreds -if not thousands - of local mom & pop pizzerias, each one boasting their own unique recipe, style and history.

Jim and I talk about the only-in-Northeastern Pennsylvania traditions that put the area on top of some of the most persnickety Pizza Charts. We discuss the differences between local sauces, cheese blends, and of course the signature crust! We touch on what toppings go into making a great pizza - and what toppings we’d rather leave aside. We also get into the very colloquial - and often debatable -pizza vs pie vs tray - and cut vs slice - debates!

You’ll find out how his passion project has become a way of life for him and his family. Jim, an accountant and financial guru by day, uses his former professional pizza maker background to come up with the amazing content that fills his informative and entertaining pizza blogs, videos and social media posts.
