Why We Need Animal Spirits - Episode 2

In Episode 2, I'll talk about Why We Need To Work With Animal Spirits in our everyday lives. One example I mention is our collective society's problems with addiction (whether to fossil fuels or drugs,etc) and even depression, could be mitigated by engaging with Animal Spirits in a respectful way. ABOUT KIRSTEN It wasn’t until Kirsten had a spiritual crisis enveloped within a physical illness that she was forced to deal with the unseen world. Kirsten was lucky to receive shamanic healing from trusted people but it was a learning process that was without any elders. She has learned that maintaining one’s relationship with the natural world, helping spirits, and medicine bundle is key. After being initiated into the Q’ero Pampamisayoq tradition as a misa carrier, Kirsten was taught how to work with sacred tobacco. For several years, Kirsten has practiced sacred tobacco offerings which have greatly aided her relationship with the water and land spirits. She also practices offerings on the local land and water in her area. Let’s revive what all of our ancestors used to do worldwide at some point in time: to love, care for and maintain a relationship with the Earth, Water, and all of Nature. As it develops, the caring relationship then leads to an ancestral remembrance of acting on behalf of the spirits of Nature in relationship.
