About the guest:

As a member of the dental team at Perio Health Professionals in Houston since 2001, Dr. E. Todd Scheyer, DDS, MS, enhances smiles, improves wellness and replaces missing teeth.

Dr. Scheyer earned his bachelor’s degree in biology with honors from Arizona State University. He then graduated magna cum laude and received several clinical and research awards from the dental school at the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Dr. Scheyer then went on to receive his certificate in Periodontics and Conscious Sedation, along with his master’s degree in biomedical science, from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he focused on perio-prosthetic reconstruction and periodontal regeneration.

Dr. Scheyer served on the board of trustees for the American Academy of Periodontology, is the past-president of the Southwest Society of Periodontists, and the Texas Society of Periodontists.

Dr. Scheyer serves as a lecturer for the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and is a clinical assistant professor at the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston. He has been involved with cancer fundraising and awareness for more than 10 years.
