Fishermen Encounter Mystery in Pascagoula

On October 11th, 1973, a bizarre and unexplained event occurred in the small fishing village of Pascagoula, Mississippi. Two men, Charles Hickson and Calvin Parker, were fishing on the Pascagoula River when they suddenly encountered a strange, oval-shaped craft hovering just above the water's surface. He described being placed on a table and having a device resembling an eye scanner passed over his body. After approximately 20 minutes, the men were released and the craft disappeared into the night sky. Shaken and disturbed by their experience, Hickson and Parker reported the incident to the local sheriff's department. They were interviewed separately and even subjected to polygraph tests, which they both passed.

The Pascagoula Abduction, as it came to be known, garnered significant attention from the media and UFO enthusiasts. Investigators from the U.S. Air Force and the National Enquirer newspaper looked into the case, but could find no evidence of a hoax. Hickson and Parker maintained the veracity of their story for decades, despite facing ridicule and skepticism from many quarters.
