This is far from the truth. You can be sex trafficked by a neighbor and still have the freedom to go home. Megan Conner is the mother of six spectacular human beings and a breaker of generational trauma cycles. She survived sex trafficking as a child and spent almost 40 years in other abusive systems before finally learning how to break free. Megan is now an executive at a fuel supply company and teaches others how to identify and exit coercive and abusive relationships and systems. She discusses topics such as healthy parenting, family systems, high-demand religion, and healing from trauma. About Megan Conner: I suffered from depression for many years and tried many diverse types of treatment. One day when I told my therapist how angry I was at one of my abusers, he asked me: "What does that anger say about you?" I was baffled. Up until that point, my focus had all been on the way others had treated me, rather than how that treatment made me feel about myself. The most important thing that I learned in my journey through healing from abuse and trauma is that I must look inward to heal before I can look outward to connect.
