TWITTER SPACE - PART 1 WATFORD 2 - 0 BIRMINGHAM CITY

Steve and (very briefly Mal) join us from the road hoping for a shorter trip back but very happy to have finally got the win, Charlie joins us to go through both the pro’s and the con’s of the performance but really wanting to see a complete 90 minutes from Martins, Carlos returns from holiday with heart stopping tales of Pina Colada’s, Mike joins us to ensure that we know he will be consoling his Birmingham supporting friends (which is a very nice thing to do!) Paul tells us of the story of his “Ruddy Redemption”, before Uncle Ron joins us to confirm a good result but not enjoying the game and hoping that Jamal Lewis’s promising first outing will the loanee keep out James Morris who Ron doesn’t believe is up to Championship football. Chatting Blues joins us feeling that Luton supporting Keith Stroud was harsh on them with 7 bookings and sending off (to yellow) as opposed to one for Watford despite a fairly even foul count. Wendover joins to point out that the types of fouls made by the visitors justified the bookings but wants to see Watford moving the ball quicker in transition but very happy with the result and the fact that he is having a Chinese takeaway this evening. We hear from Richard a tale about the game but also about his and his family issues with the new bag size limit and the way it was enforced. The discussion moves on to his nephew’s experience as with all young supporters and ensuring that the experience is a positive one. RichWFC2 joins us having spoken positively with Luther about his latest appointment and encouraging Richard to contact him with his tale in the hope that things could be improved in the long term. Fingers crossed. The second half of RichWFC2’s call on the match will start part 2 COYH! This Podcast has been created and uploaded by Do Not Scratch Your Eyes. As it finishes 1-1 at St Andrews we reflect on a game that was low on quality and goal mouth incident. In the normal chaos that is the DNSYE Twitter Spaces universe new father (for the second time) Uncle Ron complains about Adrian Marriappa conceding an own goal three seasons ago (we put this down to a lack of sleep), Greg imagines he might be a bus and then realises very strongly that he isn't, George has two great calls having firstly taken part in Gregs call until, what we are legally advised to refer to as "Bus Lane incident" occured before returning for a very excellent call of his own and we welcomed Caity back - and we wish her good luck for Thursday A Level results day. So, you know, the normal nonsense. Thanks everyone for listening and for those that take part either calling in on tweeting in. COYH Learn more about your ad choices. The Opposition View - Birmingham City not here!!

The Opposition View - Birmingham City not here!!

So what to do when the opposition don't turn up!!! So a late no show from the Blues stopped us talking abut Eustace and Deeney so instead we just rambled away and covered all the things you would expect in an opposition view vs Birmingham City - meaning mainly Aston Villa, Gabby Agbonlahor, Richard Keys and his hairy armed daughter, Emmanuel Davis and Keinan Davis and strangely something called "box maintenance" - so you know normal kind of stuff! Oh and we do the predictions anyway!!!! COYH! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information. Do Not Scratch Your Eyes - KIT AID SPECIAL

Justin and Pete talk to Derrick Williams the founder of Kit Aid about this remarkable locally started, yet global charity! Formed in 1998 by Derrick Kit Aid has gone on to provide football kit to those areas of the world that are most in need, with some spectacular and unexpected consequences. Graham Taylor is central to the story and very close to the hearts of all at Kit Aid and there are stories here about GT and a number of players past AND present that will warm your heart. Please give this a listen as you might know someone who can help kit Aid meet their target for their 25th anniversary next year of dispatching their 1 millionth piece of kit and in doing so help boys, girls and chimpanzees in need. Yes you read that right. COYH! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information. Learn more about your ad choices. Top of the league after 3 games should not be sniffed at!!! A tactical change from Rob Edwards saw a change to a back four, an impressive debut from Hamza Choudhury, and a birthday from Tom Cleverley that saw a winning goal and an injury but we debate his performance with some differences of opinion. Loads of contributions from our regulars, news on comings and goings and even maybe an exclusive (but don't tell anyone we wouldn't want to get a reputation!!!). Finally, we run the earliest player of the season award poll after only 3 games!! Yes yes yes there are 43 more games in the league plus cup matches to go but we've never let that kind of detail get in the way of something overwhelmingly daft!!! COYH!! As it was superbly called on twitter 5 word reviews - A game of two Sarrs. In the end a draw was more than we deserved in a performance that saw the Baggies running rampant against the Hornets who had taken a 12 minute lead through a moment of genius from Sarr. No one could complain that Albion equalised just before half time and when Sarr was bought down in the second half, it would have been unfair on the hosts if the Senegal striker had scored but he didn't instead he limply repeated his double penalty miss against Man Utd from last season. You hope he will not take another penalty for Watford or if he does that he has to take it from 50 yards out!!! Loads of regular and some great debut calls - thank you all as ever. COYH!
