TWITTER SPACE - PART 1 - SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY 0 - 0 WATFORD

Alan chooses to focus on the positives in that Pollock is getting his chance and seems intent on proving his worth and cementing a place in the starting eleven and looking at the away form which is unbeaten in seven! Pete calls out the number of central midfielders is below the “two players for each position” threshold leaving TDB and Kone looking very leggy which whilst still working hard did affect the quality of their use of the ball. Wendover agrees that the players looked tired and asks why the transfer window has not been used to inject some fresh legs and energy into the squad. Always keen on a transfer window, Wendover fears that the hype over Dennis suggests that he might be the only incoming in the window (with 24 hours to go as we spoke). Caity joins us and points out that both Sema and Dennis are forced to play because of the lack of depth when they are clearly no where near 100% fit, Paul observes how once again Ben Hamer has won us a point with another outstanding display and asks why top players can play two games in a week and not look as tired. He further asks if our way of playing is further exacerbating the psychological element of “feeling” tired. Not convinced by either Bayo or Rajovic with the window closing asks what have Manga, Giaretta and Nani been doing? Paul is also dismissive of talk of building for next year as parachute money will be gone as loaned against already – might we be forced to sell Asprilla & Andrews and reverting to the Watford style of existence we had prior to the Pozzo takeover? However Paul is convinced that Val is, for all his faults, the right man to lead us next season too. Uncle Ron joins us and says if Gino has lost interest or if Watford has fallen down his list of priorities that he should sell and compares our situation to Newcastle under Mike Ashley. John joins us and offers “ying” to Ron’s “yang” (or vice versa) and looks on the positive side and looks through the squad and thinks we have enough until Pete points out the midfield numbers are below the level of 2 for each position.
