Watford got their league campaign started last week with a goalless draw at Lewes but in the week in the cup defeated Charlton 7-0. At home to a Plymouth side much improved from last seasons showing Watford again kept a clean sheet and start to get used to their new surrounding at Kings Langley. We find out about his introductions to sports surface preparation, football and Heurelho Gomes!!! We talk about why the pitch is dug up in May when it still looks great, not knowing the cost of a bag of fertiliser once but now researching silicon grass couplets, intercontinental awards, why dogs and robots aren't always compatible, bee hives and a variety of vegetables, the patterns on the pitch plus sunlight (artificial or otherwise) and the amazing wider grounds team at both the Vic and the training ground!!
