John thought we all need a reality check and now need to look at things going forward as a 20 game season to the play offs and beyond. Caity confirms that we are not Leicester, Uncle Ron locks himself in a toilet before suggesting that Bilic should go, we start to vote what Chinese dishes Greg should have for his takeaway tonight and Jack calls in from the US with some fabulous quotes worthy of Winston Churchill who Jack also suggests we should re-animate as next manager.   Neil questions the lack of continuity and the impact that the lack of stability has had, Paul comes in and explains that it can all be summed up in one word – apathy be it with the club, the board and now the manager. Rich comes on and agrees and adds to Paul’s comments and both of them take Pete’s well intended binary poll and rip up the rules – again! Most of the podcast we discuss and try to come up with some suggestions in response to the reports that flasks and food are now being searched for and prevented being taken into the Vic due to safety concerns. If food and flasks are now banned then we look at the quality and cost of the food provided with a more critical eye. This action taken by the club during a cost of living crisis and during winter feels like a misstep from a club that has often favoured well in both the community aspects and the overall costs of attending football - and we hope that they will take steps to correct it. The sad passing of Rotherham United fan Henry Evans at the age of 18 was commemorated with a minutes applause on the 18th minute - all at DNSYE and Watford send our condolences to his friends and family - RIP We look back at the second 1-1 versus the Millers this season and realise that the automatic positions are most likely beyond us, however getting into the play off spaces is still a tall order with the cramped league table we discuss this and lots more plus Virginia gets another mention as Jack is added to Jimmy's call from last week and then Jimmy calls in with some exciting news about coming to a game. We chat with Rich, Wendover Horn and Mrs Wendover Horn about the game and the squad depth and transfer window.
