The New Jersey Devils played the Vancouver Canucks to kick off their Western Canada trip. The game was once again headlined by the Hughes brothers as all three of them shared the ice for the second time. The Devils thrashed the Canucks with a 6-0 shutout performance. Everybody contributed and it was a perfect team effort.
