Jack emailed a photo: "Hi Marc—I've been a fan since you were playing DragonCon in the basement of the Hyatt, and been listening to the podcast since at least Episode 6.

A few years ago I was listening while scanning in 19,000 slides my father had taken over his lifetime, but I finished that.

I live right on the Silver Comet Trail, and now I listen to the podcast while racking up the miles on a bicycle.

There's a photo below, though the speedometer says zero because you don't take a good picture from a moving bicycle.

Thanks for the podcast, and special thanks for the Running Music episode #470. That one upped my speed by about half a mile per hour."

Emanuel Nervo emailed: "Hello Marc, Thank you for your e-mails and invitations. The time I became more aware of celtic music was via Loreena McKennitt. Her music helped me with some emotional stuff when I was an adolescent.

Then I get to know musicians from the netherlands (were I live) and Belgium who played Folk music and Powerfolk... then came the dances and I was hooked for life. although I dance less then I would like and should do either :)

I've been friends with a singer-song writer Peter Habets for a long time. His Powerfolk band was called Matzko. They played their own written music but also some irish music.

I enjoy your podcast. Most of the music is unknown for me and some are obviously known. I don't have a particular band that I like. For sure i Like bands such as The Dubliners, Clannad, the chieftains. there are of course non-irish bands that I like too that are made and played by Folk bands.

I have been to the festival Castlefest several times (keukenhof, Lisse, Netherlands) and there are such lovely bands there too.

Kind regards from Heeze, Netherlands (NB)"
