WELCOME TO CELTIC MUSIC

* Helping you celebrate Celtic culture through music. My name is Marc Gunn. I am a Celtic musician and podcaster. This show is dedicated to the indie Celtic musicians. Please support these artists. Share the show with your friends. And find more episodes at celticmusicpodcast.com. You can also support this podcast on Patreon.

ATTN Celtic Musicians. I'm looking for some good stories to share. You see, I also host the Pub Songs Podcast. I started sharing stories from musicians about their songs. I'd like to do more of those. So if you have a story that you'd like to share about a song, from a gig, or maybe even just a piece of Celtic history that you love. Drop me an email at marc@marcgunn.com. Put "Pub Story" in the show subject. Tell me about your story. Maybe I'll ask you to record your story for the show.

Subscribe and listen to the Pub Songs & Stories podcast.

TRAVEL WITH CELTIC INVASION VACATIONS
Every year, I take a small group of Celtic music fans on the relaxing adventure of a lifetime. We don't see everything. Instead, we stay in one area. We get to know the region through its culture, history, and legends. You can join us with an auditory and visual adventure through podcasts and videos. Carson Sprenger emailed a photo: "So glad I found your podcast on this day. I live on a small island in the Pacific Northwest. Years ago in college I studied irish history and literature. I spent six months traveling in your dear county, hitching and working on farms in the year of 1995. My goodness, in these times and in the dark of winter it's such a good thing to discover good music and hear of the good people dedicated to supporting independent music and thought. Hats off to you. You made my day."

Iris Pea M. Tyczynska emailed from Bournemouth, England: "Hey there, Thanks a lot for the podcast :3. I like Irish and Celtic music a lot, so it's a treat. While listening, I dance with my hula hoop ??. I can send you a video next time if you like. When I'm not dancing, I drink local apple juice from a green wine glass while chilling on the sofa ?????"

Eric Guarin emailed: "Well, I guess I skipped New Year's, but am just finishing listening to the Celtic Christmas Women episode. Really nice! I especially thought the closer (Sharon Shannon's "Christmas Time Again") totally fabulous-if it could ever get mainstream play it could become a new classic.

I did notice that in Apple CarPlay, the name of the song and artist pops up. Cool! Has anyone else mentioned that? But at the same time, I'd suggest putting the artist name first. The reason is that display space even on an 8" screen cuts off the artist name.

And last or alas, I had really really hoped to join a Celtic Invasion, but you will be roaming during my last week of the school year.* :-( Well, another time, I hope. Cheers"

Aaron Adair commented on Patreon: "That was much-needed salve, Mark. Thank you for sharing your love with us all. Be well."
