#RecklessHope with Danny Alotta & Liv | Liv Strong Podcast (LSP S1, E8)

Liv Strong Podcast is a new show about how people have overcome extreme adversity and made a personal commitment to Liv Strong despite challenging circumstances. There will be a variety of guests from many different fields ranging from The Arts to The NYPD and everything in between. Olivia comes from a background of surviving cancer at a young age and fighting for her place as an artist in NYC. She believes that we are all in this together and no one should fight alone. It’s time to shine a light on how we are all coping and start learning how to dance in the rain!

This month Olivia featured fellow cancer survivor and thriver, Danny Alotta @alottaways who is the founder of @joyjuiceorg & @sundaydinnerseries. He openly shares his journey about being diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma at the young age of 17 and describes how he was able to find joy, speak to himself kindly, work at finding the light and in turn make it his life mission to pay it forward to others (specifically the youth). Danny provides cancer makeovers at his Joy Juice events each year and sends the kids home with new shoes and a new spirit! He also launched his online Sunday Dinner Series to encourage friends and families to "break bread" together during these challenging times in 2020. Danny believes conversations are the bridge to restoration. And there's not much that can't be fixed with a new pair of Nikes or a home cooked meal.
