BIENVENIDOS to our podcast Homo In Training! Each week we rotate between 3 segments called thotful moment, entertainment review and some science shit! This week is our Entertainment Review and we talking about EUPHORIA!!!

The show follows a group of high schoolers through their experiences of sex, HEAVY drug use, friendships, love, identity and trauma. Zendaya plays Rue who is the lead character on the series and is a f*ckin mess. Euphoria came out in early 2019 and they have a new season coming up soon.. maybe? We don’t know BUT we do know they have two SPECIAL episodes really digging deep into Zendaya’s character, Rue and her lover/best friend Jules, played by Hunter Schafer.

Today we will be talking about Part 1 of the Euphoria Special Episodes which is Rue’s story of the aftermath of the Season 1 finale.

J & Lesly will be discussing the scene with Rue in the diner with her sponsor, Ali and cover what substance abuse mean to us, how religion/spirituality play a part in getting sober and how we can better empathize with Rue.

On every episode J & Lesly feature something they’re loving right now and it can be a podcast, tv show, music, book or anything we want! We call it our DOUBLE FEATURE because there's two of us and we wanna feature some sh*t. ☺

Our Double Feature for this episode is a new show celebrating diverse trans voices AND starring some alumni of RUPAUL’S DRAG RACE: Translation on Amazon Prime and giving praises to Humberly Gonzalez! She is in the Netflix Show: Ginny & Georgia and was recently featured on the Girl On Girl Podcast!

We were planning on doing only ONE episode covering Part 1 & 2 but we ended up talking for two hours. So we decided to follow in Euphoria’s footsteps and release this episode in two parts. Science episode will be pushed back and NEXT WEEK WILL BE PART 2 of the Jules episode!
