Episode 732: Thomas 'Bomber' Kavanagh and Liam Byrne weapons plot sentencing hearing

Armed police blocked off roads as part of a major security operation as Thomas 'Bomber' Kavanagh and Liam Byrne were escorted to the Old Bailey courthouse in London today.

The Dublin gangland figures were in the dock for their role in a bizarre plot to use a cache of weapons as a bargaining tool to get a reduced jail term for Kavanagh.

Niall speaks to Nicola who was in the Old Bailey about how the Kinahan Cartel duo pleaded for mercy from the judge.
