Trump Says Burgum Is His Pick To Lead Dept. Of Interior

President-elect Donald Trump spoke Thursday night from Mar-a-Lago, where he announced he plans to nominate North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum, his former opponent in the 2024 presidential race, as Interior Secretary. Earlier in the day, Trump tapped Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as his choice for the next Health and Human Services Secretary. Kennedy has been one of the nation’s most outspoken vaccine skeptics and a Covid-19 conspiracy theorists. "For too long, Americans have been crushed by the industrial food complex and drug companies who have engaged in deception, misinformation, and disinformation when it comes to Public Health," Trump said in a statement today. “HHS will play a big role in helping ensure that everybody will be protected from harmful chemicals, pollutants, pesticides, pharmaceutical products, and food additives,” added Trump.
