54. Jack The Stripper
When someone says Whitechapel, London and 1880’s, most people know they are referring to none other than Jack the Ripper. Jack was one of the first serial killers to terrorize with no reason and to this day remains unsolved--although many think they know who it is, it has yet to be proven. His killings have been covered with countless books and movies and have lead to more than a few copycat killings but perhaps the biggest one is one you may have never heard about. This brutal murderer killed more victims than his famous namesake. He was known as Jack the Stripper and the murders would be known as the Hammersmith Nude Murders. Join Jen and Cam on this episode of Our True Crime Podcast as we discuss “Jack the Stripper.” As always our listner discretion is brought to you from the amazing Edward from @octoberpodVHS.The catchy theme song and all editing is courtesy of the ever so patient Nico @wetalkofdreams. 51. The Bad Man in Aviators
Newton Kansas sits in America’s heartland with fields of wheat and cornfields as far as the eye can see. The small town of 19,000 is big on family, God, and rarely, does anyone lock their front doors. They all know each other as many have grown up and grown old having never left their small hometown. It is a trusting community with a long line of families raising families but that trust was shattered in the spring of 1994 when a stranger knocked on Rhonda Krehbiel's front door. 50. Harry Moore and the Groveland Four
On December 25, 1951, was a double celebration for Harry & Harriette Moore of Mims, Florida. Not only was it Christmas, but the couple were celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary. In those 25 years, the Moore’s had raised 2 daughters, taught countless children in segregated schools within Brevard County Florida, and founded the Brevard County chapter of the NAACP, just to name a few accomplishments. It had become a tradition for the couple to cut their anniversary cake just as they had on their wedding day, arm in arm, hand in had. As they sliced their cake that evening, they had no idea they would become the first assassinations of the civil rights movement.Join Jen and Cam on this very special 1st anniversary Our True Crime Podcast episode as we discuss Harry Moore and the Groveland Four.We have a brand new listener discretion from our buddy Edward Octoberpod @octoberpodVHSA giant thank you to all our listeners, especially those that helped commemorate this milestone with us and gave us a 'thank you'.
