149: 5 Ways to Support Someone Who is Feeling Anxious or Experiencing a Panic Attack

So often I hear from people struggling with anxiety... "I feel like nobody understands what I'm going through." Or, "I feel like nobody knows how to help me, especially when I'm feeling anxious."

And I absolutely get it! It definitely can feel tricky to get the support you need when you’re feeling anxious or experiencing a panic attack.

And ya know what, supporting someone with anxiety or panic can be really tough, especially if you’ve never experienced it yourself. So on this episode, I'm sharing 5 helpful ways to support someone who is feeling anxious, or who might be experiencing a panic attack.

I'll share insights on...

  • How to be present, and resisting the urge to turn to jump into “fix-it mode.”
  • The importance of validating emotions and experiences.
  • Knowing your own limits. It's important to show up for yourself when taking care of others, so I’ll talk about how to take care of yourself while being there for others.

By the end of this episode, you’ll have some real, actionable ways to help someone struggling with anxiety—without feeling like you need to be an expert or have all the answers!
