Episode 79: The Killing of Jesus Jeff and the Fall of the Emerald Triangle

In November of 2016 a group of workers on a pot farm in California’s infamous Emerald Triangle were plotting the murder of their boss Jeff Settler, also known as Jesus Jeff.

At the same exact time Proposition 64 was being passed by voters, legalizing marijuana for recreational use, and the outlaw culture of hippie cannabis farmers would never be the same.

Join us as we take a ride into the Emerald Triangle of Northern California with a tale of pot growing hippies gone terribly, terribly astray, leading to a horrible and shocking murder.

A tale that also coincided with the downfall of a weird but beautiful and thriving culture.
