Andy Buchanan set a new National Record, running 2:06:22 at the Valencia Marathon, placing 16th overall. Izzi Batt-Doyle ran 2:22:59 for third all time, 8th in the race. Both qualify for next year’s Athletics World Championship in Tokyo.

Izzi joins in early to chat about going for the Australian record and recaps her race, the pace planning involved and giving the race as an emotional tribute to her friend Bailey.

Charlie’s time now places him as the #2 All Time Australian behind Joseph Deng and sets him to be named in the Olympic team alongside Peter Bol & Jeff Riseley.
