Mythology & Graphic Novels with Daniel Clarke

Mythology & Graphic Novels with Daniel Clarke

In this 13th episode of Fabulous Folklore Presents, I chat with Daniel Clarke, a Cape Town-based artist, illustrator and animator who has worked with BBC and Disney, among others.

He is the co-author of Kariba, a graphic novel with his brother James Clarke, which explores the Zimbabwean myth of Nyaminyami, the great river god of the Zambezi River.

In this interview, we chat about the building of modern mythology, who can tell which stories, and why AI might not be a great idea where art is concerned!

Boost your New Year with Twelfth Night folklore!

A Ghost Story for Christmas

A Ghost Story for Christmas

Telling ghost stories at Christmas is a time-honoured tradition, from Charles Dickens and his Christmas Carol, to the BBC adaptations of MR James ghost stories!  So here at Fabulous Folklore, I figured why not keep it up?!  In true folklore style, this ghost story is inspired by a London legend. This episode almost marks #50 so it's a bit of a landmark! Without further ado, I give you 'Midnight Screams at Holborn'! 'Midnight Screams at Holborn' comes from the Black Dog and Other Gothic Tales collection, which you can buy here: http://www.icysedgwick.com/book/black-dog-other-gothic-tales/ Tweet Icy at https://twitter.com/IcySedgwick Follow Icy on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/icysedgwick Become a Patron for as little as $1 a month at https://www.patreon.com/bePatron?u=2380595 Buy Icy a coffee at: https://ko-fi.com/icysedgwick
