510 - How to Build a Community That Loves You: Jeannie Gaffigan Speaks About The Support That Came with Battling Brain Cancer

I'm jealous of Jeannie Gaffigan's brain tumor. Not the tumor itself. Or the feeding tube. Or side effects. But I'm jealous of the community that came to her side. I told her, "I'm afraid that if this ever happens to me, I won't have the love and support that you've built up over the years." She had a mega support system... neighbors and family who got her the best doctors, plus friends and colleagues who worked with her when she wrote and produced "The Jim Gaffigan Show." She laughed. Because it's the weirdest thing to be jealous of. But she understood. And told me not to worry. "I had no idea I had this [support system]. It took this. You have it. You just don't know. Like me.
