Ghostlights

Ghostlights are seen around the world and have endured throughout history. But what are they? Science offers up a variety of logical explanations. From Swamp Gas to Ball Lightning to Geophysical changes met with electrical discharges. Our world is a pretty strange place and can produce natural effects that are almost as baffling as the ghostlight phenomenon itself. But is that all there is to the story? Is there more than meets the eye when these orbs of light suddenly appear? Today we dissect many of the scientific theories behind them and explore when these theories most certainly apply. And when they most certainly, do not. We take a very deep dive into an example of one of the most well known of America’s ghostlights before shining a light (see what I did there?) on an encounter that I found to be one of the most compelling examples in support of a far more mysterious occurrence taking place.
