Listen in as we welcome Rachel Lacey, a contemporary romance author who has recently transitioned to writing sapphic romance novels. We discuss her fascinating move to Vermont, the impact of the shift in her lifestyle, and how this change reflects in her books. We explore the joy that comes from writing sapphic romance and how books can serve as a safe haven for readers. We wrap up the chat by discussing Rachel's newest book, Stars Collide, a delightful sapphic celebrity romance novel. She gives us a glimpse into her research process and how her love for pop music and curiosity about the life of celebrities inspired the story.

The conversation then transitions to an engaging exploration of sapphic romance books. We talk about the interesting trope of redeeming the villain and Rachel shares some of her top book recommendations, including works by Lee Winter, JJ Arias, Stephanie Shay, and Amanda Radley. We touch on the unique narrative of "In the Shadow of the Past" by JE Leek, a story about female spies during World War II. Happy Reading!
