The World Future Council is committed to a healthy planet with just and peaceful societies now and in the future. It identifies, develops, examines and disseminates future-oriented solutions to current challenges that humanity is facing and celebrates them with its unique Future Policy Award every two years. The Council consists of 50 outstanding global change makers from civil society, science, politics and business. It determines the agenda of the organization's work and develops statements on it. The Council members meet annually at the World Future Forum to discuss the most pressing challenges and solutions to them.
