232 - Nice Guys

As I mentioned at the close of yesterday's video another you-tuber named Razor Blade Kandy mentioned that women's minds don't seem to process when a a male is behaving nicely the same way as men do. When he said this is struck a nerve and triggered something in my head to explore the idea of nice guys and why women don't seem to want nice guys even though they say they do. It seems like a contradiction. I believe that many women say they want a nice guy as the ultimate form of shit test. All of those talk shows and behavioral trends that were promoted in the nineteen eighties, nineties and early two thousands where women went on national television and spoke about how their men were bad dead beats and what they really wanted was a nice guy was an attempt to socially condition many men in generation x, myself included into white knights. Many of us were too young to know what a shit test was so when we heard women speak we took them at face value instead of understanding their true motivations. I was too young to even comprehend what a shit test was yet I still passed it subconsciously because I decided not to become a nice guy but instead focused on my outward appearance at that young age. My body and clothing would be the way I conveyed my values and beliefs. Perhaps what I subconsciously understood was that Women will make an acception for nice guys if they have other physical or possibly financial qualities. If they dress well, have nice bodies or have money. When they say I want a nice guy, what they really mean is a nice looking guy. Not a guy that behaves nicely. For many men there is a disconnect or communications issue between behaving nice and looking nice. Most men it seems process the word nice to relate to their behavior instead of their looks. While I was in High School I put most of my effort into my appearance instead of my personality. Both males and females would criticize my behavior me but at the end of the day I would still get girlfriends. whereas the guys with nice attitudes but with an average looking appearance would remain perpetually single. The average looking man with a great personality is on the same level as a fat or overweight woman with a great personality. It doesn't take much if any work for a man to look average.
