The Jai words are the combination of words with Jai (ใจ). ใจ is often translated to heart or mind. They are often used to help you express your feelings. That's why it's important to know them well. Here, I compiled 10 jai words (verb + jai) to help you improve your Thai.


เข้าใจ kâo jai = to understand

ดูใจ doo jai = to check somebody out

เห็นใจ hĕn jai = to sympathize

ทำใจ tam jai = to accept

รู้ใจ róo jai = to know what someone is thinking

อ่านใจ àan jai = to read one’s mind

ตัดสินใจ dtàt sĭn jai = to decide

ตามใจ dtaam jai = up to you, to let somebody do what they want

สมัครใจ sà-màk jai = to be willing to,

ประทับใจ bprà-táp jai = to be impressed
